Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s theme was:
Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016
A few weeks ago, I listed the Top Ten Debut Novels from the Beginning of 2016 I’m Looking Forward to so today I’m only going to be listing NON-DEBUT titles from the first half of 2016 that I’m really excited to read. There was no way I could narrow this down to only ten, so you’ve got my top fourteen most anticipated non-debuts from the first half of 2016. 🙂
THE RAVEN KING by Maggie Stiefvater [April 26]
THIS SAVAGE SONG by V.E. Schwab [June 7]
THE ROSE & THE DAGGER by Renee Ahdieh [May 3]
A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J. Maas [May 3]
THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING by Morgan Matson [May 3]
WINK POPPY MIDNIGHT by April Genevieve Tucholke [March 22]
STARS ABOVE by Marissa Meyer [February 2]
THANKS FOR THE TROUBLE by Tommy Wallach [February 23]
DENTON LITTLE’S BIRTHDATE by Lance Rubin [April 12]
WE ARE THE ANTS by Shaun David Hutchinson [January 19]
PASSENGER by Alexandra Bracken [January 5]
UNHOOKED by Lisa Maxwell [February 2]
EXIT, PURSUED BY A BEAR by E.K. Johnston [March 15]
RUN by Kody Keplinger [June 28]
What book releases are you looking forward to in the first half of 2016?
Great list. I see a couple I missed and need to check out. Can’t wait for A Court of Mist and Fury.
I’m so ready for ACOMAF!!
I am SO EXCITED for both A Court of Mist and Fury and Stars Above!! Wink Poppy Midnight also looks really good.
RIGHT?! I can’t wait!
LOL WHAT. I just read the synopsis for Exit, Pursued and the MC is named Hermione. Is this a popular name? THIS IS INTERESTING.
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
Hermione is the name of one of the characters in The Winter’s Tale, which is where the stage direction “Exit, pursued by a bear” comes from. 🙂
Great list this week! I completely forgot that This Savage Song comes out in June, for some reason I thought it was July. I am equal parts excited for The Raven King and terrified. Happy New Year!
My TTT
Exactly how I feel about TRK too. Happy new year to you too!
The Raven King, A Court of Mist and Fury and Unhooked were all on my list this week too.

I NEED THEM!
Me too!
Exit, Pursued by a Bear–I’m excited about that one too!
YES! I’m super excited about it. I’m looking forward to seeing any parallels between it and The Winter’s Tale.
Whaat how did I not know Kody was coming out with a new book? I really liked Lying Out Loud. Still need to read DUFF & Midsummer’s Nightmare.
I haven’t read Lying Out Loud yet, but The Duff is super fun. Run just sounds so interesting!
Great list! Stars Above made my list this week, too, and I really need to start The Raven Cycle. 🙂
Interesting choice of books hehe. Happy reading!
We’ve got a few overlaps (no surprise). Can’t wait for The Rose & Dagger and the Raven King … and really want to check out both of the Denton Little books.
Denton Little’s Birthdate almost made my list–I heard the author at a Literary Deathmatch, and he was pretty funny, though he didn’t win. I’m absolutely reading the book, though!
Can’t wait to get my hands on The Unexpected Everything!
Great Top Ten!
My TTT! 😀
I was lucky enough to be granted an eARC, and I CANNOT WAIT TO READ IT!
Jealous!!
I’m saving this topic for the new year, but I’ve got Exit, Pursued by a Bear on my list too. A Shakespeare retelling? Please and thank you!
RIGHT! That’s exactly how I feel. Plus, that’s my favorite stage direction EVER.
This is a great list! We have quite a few in common and then some that I wanted to include, but I had to narrow it to just 10. There are so many awesome books being released next year 🙂
I completely agree! So many books I want to read!
I’m so excited for A Court of Mist & Fury! I also just finished reading We Are The Ants and it is phenomenal! Great Top 10!
AHH! I’m so excited for We Are the Ants, and I’m so happy to hear it’s awesome!
I absolutely adored it! I actually just posted my full review on it as well! 🙂
I saw that! But I was worried for spoilers. No spoilers?
No spoilers! I hate spoilers haha! 🙂
I’m looking forward to the Passenger, though it didn’t make my list this time. My TTT
I’ve been hearing mixed things about Passenger, but I’m still excited to try it!
