Why I’m excited: I think this sounds so lovely. Sad, quiet, complicated, imperfect. I’ve been hearing so many wonderful things about FRANNIE AND TRU by people I truly trust, so I’m really looking forward to reading it. It sounds like a new take on the coming of age story and definitely something I want to check out.

Why I’m excited: Dahlia Adler said on Goodreads: “This is totally a YA Thelma and Louise and even when it hurts it’s so much fun.” Which pretty much sold me right away. YA Thelma and Louise. I’m totally here for that. Plus the synopsis sounds like this one could be a lot of fun, and I’m a sucker for best friend stories. Can’t wait!

Why I’m excited: BEGBIE, YOU GUYS. BEGBIE IS BACK. I’m not sure how many of you will have heard of Trainspotting – though you might’ve seen/heard of the movie with Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner and freaking Robert Carlyle as Begbie. That book is definitely not for everyone but I loved it in all it’s raw, rough, swear-y, disgusting, violent glory, and I totally happy-danced when I heard there was going to be a sequel. And that synopsis? YES, PLEASE!

Why I’m excited: I’ve never read a book about a transgender person – woman or man. And I’ve definitely never read a book about a transgender woman actually written by a transgender woman. I honestly couldn’t be more excited to do so. Reading, for me, is all about learning about people and experiences different from my own. The fact that this story is written by someone who’s actually been through this experience means that it’s going to be real and honest and powerful. Plus, when Dahlia Adler says a book is good, I take note. And thanks to Dahlia, I now have an ARC of this one waiting on my shelf. I cannot freaking wait to pick it up. (Thanks again, Dahlia!!)

Why I’m excited: You guys have no idea how excited I am for this book, and I’m not sure I can properly express that excitement in words. I have been waiting for this third book for three and a half years, and I am DYING to read it. The first two books in this trilogy (The Passage and The Twelve) are fantastic; creepy, dark, strange, and utterly unique. I devoured them both and my copies are 963 pages and 564 pages respectively. A little over two months to go until The City of Mirrors is released. I can’t wait. Right? *breathes into a bag*

Maybe I just assumed everyone knew I was waiting on the edge of my seat for this one. Either way, I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR THE RAVEN KING YOU GUYS OMG. This book is going to end one of my absolute favorite series ever and SPOILER the lives of one of my favorite characters. It’s going to destroy me, but I cannot freaking wait. Honestly considering taking off work to read it.

Also, you guys, THIS. Because if it is what I think it is, ASDFJKL;ASGO9UW3TEOU DEAD BUT DEAD FOR GOOD REASONS. But hopefully not dead like Gansey’s going to be. *cries for days*
