Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s theme was:
Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015
I’ve decided to exclude 2015 debut authors for this list because they’d make up more than half of it. I’m going with authors who’ve written several books, but I read them for the first time this year. Titles either linked to my review or to Goodreads.
Kirsty Logan
What I’ve read: The Gracekeepers | A Portable Shelter | The Rental Heart and Other Fairytales

What new-to-you authors did you read this year?
Love Sarah J Maas’ books!
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2015/12/08/top-ten-tuesday-34/
Me too! I’ve got to finish the ToG series soon.
Andrew Smith has had a lot of praise, I really think I’ll like his work! My TTT.
I think you would too! You should check him out. 🙂
Vicious is my favorite Victoria Schwab novel and you have to give it a try! The Archived is really good too! So unique!
I definitely will! My secret sister sent me Vicious recently. I plan on reading it soon!
I’m so happy you discovered Marissa Meyer! I love the Lunar Chronicles – though I have yet to start Winter! I keep putting it off because I don’t want the series to be over yet!
I’m glad I finally decided to read them! I’d been avoiding them partly due to the hype and partly because I wanted to wait until closer to when Winter was out. Which is your favorite so far?
I literally JUST finished Winter and it was basically everything I wanted it to be. I honestly think each book just keeps getting better.
I’ve read six of the authors on this list. Do I win a prize? 😉
Winter is waiting for me on a shelf, but I have eleven unread library books staring me down…
YES! Virtual cookies. 😉 I’m enjoying Winter so far! I hope you like it when you get to read it.
It is next on my “books I bought” list. Which, of course, has to take second place to the “books the library wants back” list. 🙂
I can’t say as I recall reading any of the authors on your Top Ten Tuesday post this week, so I have some new to me authors to check out for sure.
Here’s a link to my TTT post for the week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/12/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-new-to-me.html
I hope you get to check some of them out!
So many books so little time…I need to read some Jandy Nelson soon. Happy reading!
Here’s my TTT https://ireadboooks.wordpress.com/2015/12/08/new-to-me-authors-2015/
I’ll Give You the Sun is absolutely wonderful. I hope you get to read it soon!
Whoop! Great list. Do you think I can participate in Top Ten Tuesday? 🙂
I don’t see why not! All of the themes are here: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html. You just see what the theme is and create a post based on that. Make sure you link back to The Broke and the Bookish blog. 🙂
Awesome sauce! Thank you!
Great list. I’ve also read several authors for the first time who have older books. Will you go back and read them or do you not like to read backwards? I struggle with that.
It kind of just depends on what I read first – like with Andrew Smith, I read his two most recent books first and now I’m going to go back and read the rest.
