Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s theme was:
Ten Authors I REALLY Want To Meet
I admit that I’ve been lucky enough to meet several of my favorite authors (including Ian Rankin, Matt Haig, Maggie Stiefvater, Stephanie Perkins, Jennifer E. Smith, Neil Gaiman, Sarah J. Maas, and SO many more), but there are still so many authors out there that I’ve read and loved and would love to meet. Ten of them are (all pictures from Goodreads and all author names linked to GR page):
J.K. Rowling / Stephen Chbosky / Sarah Dessen / Robert Kirkman / John Green
Stephen King / Jasmine Warga / Jandy Nelson / Brian K. Vaughan (only if I could meet Fiona Staples too!) / Oliver Jeffers
Which authors do YOU really want to meet?
I really want to meet J.K.Rowling and John Green! I’ve only read one book by Jandy Nelson so I don’t know if I want to meet her or not but I did enjoy the one book by her I’ve read!
I’ve only read one by Jandy Nelson as well but I LOVED it. I think she’d be a really cool person to meet.
Definitely want to meet John Green and Stephen Chbowsky, too! And oh, Jasmine! In addition, Becky, which you’ve met already (!!!!), is in my list.
Becky is AMAZING! I hope you get to meet her one day. She’s the absolute sweetest.
Ooh, Robert Kirkman! He’d be a great one to talk to.
JK Rowling and John Green made my list too! (of authors I’d never be able to meet and speak competently in front of.)
He would! I feel like a chat with Robert Kirkman would be both disturbing and highly entertaining. Lol.
I’m going to a reading with Neil Gaiman next week, so I’ll see him, if not necessarily meet him. I’m excited.
YAY! Have fun! He’s incredible.
Seems Rowling is popular.
Her books have been part of so many people’s lives.
I’ve got Stephen King on my list. He is to my list what JK Rowling is to many other lists. I simply love King and will read anything he writes.
I worry that if I met him, I’d be like Chris Farley in the Chris Farley show sketch from SNL.
Me: Remember that time you wrote “It?”
SK: Yes.
Me: “Yeah, that was awesome….”
Hahahaha. I’d probably be the same way. I don’t know what I’d even say to him, but it would be cool anyway.
Such a good list! We have a lot of the same authors, I didn’t put Jasmine Warga or Stephen Chobosky on my list but I adore their books. I have met John Green, he did an event in Dublin a couple of years ago! 🙂
How cool! Was he as hilarious as I’m hoping?
Do you think Chbosky will ever write another book?? R x
I’ve seen a tweet or two about him writing another. I’ve got everything crossed. I really hope he does!
I scrolled too fast and matched “John Green” with Oliver Jeffers photo. It was a rather perplexing. Definitely a double-take kind of moment LOL.
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
Hahaha. Totally different.
JEFFERS. Did you see the exhibit he did about a week or so ago? He dipped his own portraits into giant vats of paint! It was a memory piece. O.O
No, I didn’t! Is there info about it/pictures of it online?!

Wow. That’s both crazy and really cool. I like the idea behind it. Thanks for sharing!
JK Rowling was on my list as well! It’d be amazing to meet her one day!

It would be absolutely incredible. Agreed!
J.K Rowling is everyone’s dream author to meet!
And have you seen this guy Mark Perini? He’s hot and an AUTHOR to boot 😀
Top Ten Tuesday
JK Rowling is definitely on everyone’s dream list! 🙂
Oooh Stephen King is a good one. I’ve never heard him speak, but I bet he’d be really interesting to talk to.
I feel the same. I think a conversation with him would blow my mind. Lol.
Adore your answers and yes I agree I think J.K would feature on many people’s wish lists of authors to meet! Like mineee 🙂 xx
I had JK Rowling on my list too. I also have a couple of authors that you have met on my list, Sarah J Maas and Maggie Stiefvater, I’d love to meet them.
