Bout of Books 13 – Sign Up Announcement!

Bout of Books 13Hi, lovelies! I’m sure you’re all super surprised that I’m participating in Bout of Books 13, right? 🙂 This will be my FOURTH time participating in Bout of Books. I’ve just started a full time job so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to read, but that’s one of my favorite things about BoB – no requirements for how much you read and no pressure to read ALL the books if you can’t. I love meeting people (virtually, of course) from all over the world and doing the Twitter chats (they’re the best even though they are NUTS). If you’ve ever thought about participating, or you’re interested now, I really encourage you to sign up. I haven’t looked back since I signed up for the first time. It’s super low-key and you get to set your own goals!

If you decide to sign up too, I would love to know what your goals are and what you plan to read! Link me up! Go sign up on the Bout of Books blog!

Some info about Bout of Books 13:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

I haven’t picked a TBR or goals or anything yet. I’ll be deciding on those this weekend when I have to think about a plan. Let me know if you’ll be participating too, so we can encourage each other and talk about our progress!

  1. I decided last minute that I will participate as well 😀 Although I have to work full-time from Monday to Wednesday, I am free for the rest of week. So I hope to get a lot of reading done 😀
    Good luck to you! 🙂

    • Yay! Let me know if you have any questions. It’s not really hard or anything. You basically make your own TBR, update each day, do the challenges if you want, and participate in the Twitter chat if you want. All up to you!

      • Yeah, I guess I just don’t know how do make lists and updates via Twitter, since I don’t have a blog. (I know, I know, I should just start one already.) I’m definitely going to try to make it to one or both of the chats, though! Are the challenges listed on Bout of Book’s blog?

        • Yep! All the challenges (with links to the blogs hosting them) are listed on the BoB blog. Every day they update it on the home page with the challenge host for that day. As for updates, just tweet something like “Today I read X amount of pages/read one book, etc. #boutofbooks” Make sure you use the #boutofbooks hashtag so everyone can see it!

  2. I’m participating for the first time this year! I haven’t set my goals yet but hoping to get those figured out by Sunday evening at the latest. My cousin’s wedding is the weekend so I have a long drive on Friday night and Sunday so I won’t have much time to think about it this weekend.

    • YAY! It is SO MUCH FUN. You’ll have a blast. You don’t really have to come up with a TBR if you don’t have time, but it’s kind of fun to plan what you’ll read and see if you can do it. 🙂

      • I already told my husband that I will be reading like crazy all week long after work and not to expect much interaction from me lol. I don’t think I’ll be able to come up with a TBR anyways since I’m such a mood reader and my moods have really been changing fast lately when it comes to the books I’ve been choosing.

  3. I’m planning on participating to, and like you, I’ll be busy with a new job (starting Monday), so I’m not sure how much I’ll be reading. I know that I’m hoping to get a chance to read every night.

    Good luck!
