I was tagged by the wonderful Rachel at Confessions of a Book Geek AND Brandie at Brandie is a Book Junkie to do the TBR Tag! Thanks, lovelies!
1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?
Goodreads mostly. I have a “to read” shelf and a “physical books I own TBR” to keep track of books I own and want to read and those I don’t own but would either like to own or just read.
2. Is your TBR mostly print or eBook?
Print. I mostly only use my Kindle for e-ARCs. I have a couple of books on my Kindle I’ve bought because they were really great deals, but I prefer physical books 9.5 times out of 10.
3. How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
I’m a bit of a mood reader, so I mostly just pick up the book I feel like reading. However, I also have a lot of e-ARCs that I try to read at least a couple weeks before their release date, so I have to factor that into my reading schedule.
4. A book that’s been on your TBR list the longest.
I bought this book in 2013 while I was working at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. It’s signed and everything. I just haven’t read it. Why haven’t I read it??
5. A book you recently added to your TBR.
Bought: The 100 by Kass Morgan / On GR: Confess by Colleen Hoover
6. A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
I don’t tend to buy books just because of their cover. I like to at least read the blurb if not a few reviews. But my favorite cover that I physically own but haven’t read is a tie between
7. A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading.
Probably none. I don’t buy books I don’t plan on reading. If I don’t like a book, I will either DNF it or give it to someone else.
8. An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
Pretty much everything on my 2015 releases shelf, but a few I’m really excited about (I obviously don’t know how to pick only one):
9. A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you.
10. A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
See above.
11. A book on your TBR that you’re dying to read.
ALL OF THEM?! Here are three I wish I was reading RIGHT NOW SIMULTANEOUSLY.
12. How many books are on your Goodreads TBR shelf?
General “to read” shelf – 363. “Physical books I own TBR” shelf – 73, and this needs to be updated. CUE ANXIETY.
As always, I’m leaving it up to you to participate or not. This was a lot of fun (and anxiety inducing!), so if you guys feel like participating, DO IT! Link me up! 🙂
I also love that CoHo made the list. 😉 Seriously, we should buddy read Shadow & Bone or Smoke & Bone. I have had them on my list forever. I forgot how much I can’t wait to read I’ll Meet You There!! Hearing such awesome things about it lately.
Holly Black. I’m going to look this book up on GR. Curious now…
I’m so glad you did this post!!
Want to do Shadow & Bone or Smoke & Bone for a second March buddy read? 🙂
I really loved Doll Bones by Holly Black but it might be a little too MG for you. Not sure if you read a lot of MG…?
Done! Here’s mine: http://wp.me/pZnGI-i3
Yay!
Haha I love that you said 9.5 times out of 10! I’m so glad to see CoHo’s latest release on here too, does that mean you’re a CoHo convert now??? For your #9 I want to read all those too, and I own two of them already… I smell a buddy read or 4… R x
Lol! Well, sometimes I actually do like to read an eBook. It’s rare, but it happens. Brandie said she wants to read Shadow & Bone and Daughter of Smoke & Bone too so we should all do a buddy read of those!
I don’t know if I’m a CoHo convert quite yet, but I do like MS so far!

I don’t think I’ve done this tag so I might!
As for your ‘A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you.’ books; I when/if you get to them, that you have a good experience because for me both 5th Wave and Daughter of Smoke&Bone started off amazing but from like the halfway point I just got bored and annoyed with them =/ mainly due to them having the YA typical falling in love with the new first boy you meet syndrome -_- I really wanna read Shadow&Bone but I’ve heard the last Mara Dyer was bad =S
NOOOO! That’s so disappointing. You are actually the third or fourth person who told me The 5th Wave was like that – part of the reason I haven’t read it yet!
Really?! I thought I was alone in disliking it xD all I heard was rave reviews about the 5th wave but all I’ve heard about three second book is negative stuff =\
A book from 2013 has been on your TBR list the longest? Oh you kid, you! I haven’t tried to figure mine out yet, but I’m sure to have well over a dozen books from over ten years ago. Apparently I’m not very well organized, lol.
Haha! I have plenty of older books like that too, but I wanted to pick one that was sort of recent at the same time! Lol. I also tend to get rid of books if I haven’t read them after having them for several years. I obviously won’t be reading it!
Bone Season has been on mine for a long time too! You definitely need to read the ones that are always recommended. 🙂
Missie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
I definitely plan to soon! I want to read ALL the books ALL the time!
I think I’m going to have to do this. I’ve been meaning to get my TBR pile/list organized so maybe this will get me motivated!
