I’ve been hearing such mixed things about The 5th Wave. Some people love it, some people hate it. I’m definitely going to have to read that one soon!
Yeah, I agree, plenty of mixed emotions, but you definitely should.
I loved Daughter Of Smoke & Bone and Shadow & Bone, great books! I have Horns sitting on my bookshelf, desperate to read it!

I was just exposed to Horns myself this week, and I saw the trailer starring Daniel Radcliffe and it looks amazing! (So now I have to try and finish it before I see the movie!)
I listened to the wonderful audio version of The Night Circus & recommend it!
That book has been recommended to me about a million times. I definitely need to get on it ASAP!
I think Rain Reign is going to be a secret gem this season. I don’t know…something about it seems really special (or maybe pet feels just gets me every time). But I see that you’ve read it already! Jealous.

I started it yesterday morning and finished it today at work. It was REALLY special. So good. I would definitely recommend it when it comes out!
I’ve read 5th Wave and the follow up is out now, Infinite Sea – I meant to put that on my list but forgot. The first book is definitely worth a read – look forward to hearing what you think! I have Charm & Strange but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. And Night Circus has been on my TBR forever. These are all great picks, looks like you’ll be having a great fall 🙂

Great picks, there’s a couple on here I’ve been meaning to get to, but I just never find the time… (*you were always on my mind, you were alwaaaays on my mind*) – ahem – great, now I’ve freaked myself out because I’m thinking of the creepy – yet hot – guy from Practical Magic. Anyways… The Night Circus, The 5th Wave and Shadow and Bone, and Smoke and Bone are allll ones I mean to get to, someday.

My poor TBR is suffering while reading your TTT… Shadow And Bone was one of my favorite reads of this year, and I really want to read The Selection, Daughter Of Smoke And Bone and The Night Circus as well. Although all books on your list look interesting. 😉
Everyone who’s mentioned Shadow and Bone has said they’ve loved it, so I’m so excited to read it!
I enjoyed the Night Circus and LOVED the grisha trilogy (shadow and bone). I really want to read both the 5th wave and Lani Taylor’s daughter of smoke and bone. So many books, so little time.
Isn’t that the truth?! I wish I could read every single book I want to.

Shadow and Bone is so good! That series is one of my favorites! Charm & Strange and The Selection both look great. They’re both in my TBR pile, but probably not for this fall.
It makes me happy in my choices when people say they’ve loved some of the books. Awesome!
I’ve read and loved The Night Circus and Shadow and Bone but I am one of the few people on the planet (at least that’s how it feels) that was not crazy about Daughter of Smoke and Bone. The latter is creative and well written but I really did not connect with the main character or the romance. Hope you have the more mainstream reaction to it!! Have a fun fall of reading:)
Hmmm. I guess we’ll see. Hope I like it, but I don’t like books if I can’t connect with the main character in some way, so we’ll see.

Oh my gosh I LOOOOOOOVE The Night Circus. I read it last January and I do have to say – it is a perfect winter book. The writing is really gorgeous and the setting is stunning. One of the rare books I’d love to see on screen if it is well done.

Great list! I loved The Night Circus, and really liked The Selection too (although the world building in that one felt a little off to me). I’m excited to see what you think!
I’ve heard that from a few people – that the world building and descriptions fell a little flat. One of the patrons in the library where I work said she loved it though and since I’ve been recommending a bunch of books to her, I figured I’d try one she recommended. 🙂
I’ve read The Selection and Shadow and Bone and both are among my favourite books ever! The Selection is a huge guilty pleasure of mine and Shadow of Bone is one of those rare fantasies that captures my heart. Enjoy 🙂 Great list.

The Night Circus is amazing! It’s one of my favorite books, I hope you love it too! I’ve been meaning to read some Joe Hill too recently but haven’t gotten around to it, so I’m excited to see what you think!
I haven’t read anything by Joe Hill, but Horns was made into a movie starring Daniel Radcliffe and it comes out on Halloween so I want to try to read this before then. Plus it seems like the perfect Halloween-time book.

There’ll be a movie version of the 5th wave. I’m going to suggest the owner of SS Readers Corner to buy the book. Personally I’m curious about The Night Circus. I’ve seen the book title countless times in Twitter. I think it was that hashtag #bookadayuk

Shadow and bone & Daughter of smoke and bone are both really good. It took me some time to get into DOSAB, but once you are sucked into the story you can’t put it down. Happy reading!

I’m in love with The Night Circus. Probably my favorite book that I read last year. I definitely need a re-read of it. I also need to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I bought a hard copy for $5 quite a while ago and haven’t started it yet!
Same here about Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I got the first two books in hardback for 5 or 6 bucks a couple of months ago. Hopefully if I put them on a list, I’ll feel I’m being held accountable and will read them. Lol.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone didn’t make my top ten, but it’s on my fall TBR. Honestly, I’m not that interested, but one of my best friends has been begging me to read it, so I’m going to give it a shot.
The 5th Wave was a DNF for me, but it might’ve been because I’m old. 😛
I’ve just heard so many good things about the Daughter of Smoke and Bone books. I found the first two in the series on sale, in HARDBACK, for $6 each, so I thought, “Why not?” 🙂
😦 You are the second person who has told me that about the 5th Wave, and the other person was my age, so I don’t think it’s an age thing. I hope I enjoy it.
That’s a good deal! I’ve heard mixed reviews of Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but I promised my friend.
I found the MC of The 5th Wave too angsty. It was also one of the first books I read after a 4 month reading break (house-hunting, moving, getting settled, blah!), so I might’ve been uber picky.
Hmmmm. That’s the same thing my other friend said. That stinks. I still want to try but I am not a big fan of angst, so we’ll see how that goes.
