Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s theme was:
Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want To Read (books you may have bought but aren’t sure if you are into it anymore, books you wanted to read but heard mixed things about, hyped books you aren’t sure about — basically any book that has you going, “TO READ OR NOT TO READ?”
I bought this trilogy for $10 at Wal-Mart because of all the Jenny Han hype I’ve been exposed to since starting my blog. But then I read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, which I wasn’t a huge fan of. I’m a little worried I won’t like these books either.
4. Fiend by Peter Stenson
I got this book through Blogging for Books, which I’ve realized is kind of a crappy deal for bloggers as you are required to review the book. I’m pretty sure I still want to read the book, and I will probably review it, but I will not keep using that program.
5. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
A friend sent this to me as I LOVE Scotland and I’ve been wanting to read the book, but I started it and just couldn’t read it. I love the idea but I don’t like the execution. I’ll probably try again one day.
6. When You Were Mine by Rebecca Searle
Bought this at Barnes & Noble for like $3 because it looked cute and I was in the mood for a cute book. But I have so many other books that I’d rather read. It’s just been pushed down the list.
7. Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
Same as #6 for this one.
Got this book for free when I was interning at Canongate. I still do want to read it, but it’s not a priority.
That’s all I got. I try not to get books that I don’t really want to read. I even looked at my TWO TBR bookshelves (yes, two), and I definitely wanted to read everything else on them. So only 8 this week. Oh well.
What books do you have that you aren’t sure you want to read? Link me up to your TTT if you participated.
